All of our kids (which included 3 spouses and 2 grandbabies) were home for Christmas, for almost 2 weeks...it was crazy, chaotic, crowdedand absolutely WONDERFUL! Everyone made it on to the "Nice List" by Christmas, except for Grandpa... he got potato peelings in his stocking! I guess he has some New Year's resolutions to make and keep!? I took a short break from vinyl to hold granddaughters as much as possible, but while they were sleeping, helped my daughters do some vinyl projects before they flew home...watch for upcoming pictures. One project was getting things ready for my granddaughter's 1st birthday. Just received the pictures... Mckinlay woke up on her birthday and was delighted to find a special birthday sign and garden of colorful flowers on the wall. Her mom was brave enough to have 7 little friends over to celebrate this big day...the theme was "Old Mckinlay's Farm"! Besides lots of cute little "animals", there was a cake that looked like a sheep, goody bags of animal crackers, and I'm sure, many choruses of "E-I-E-I-O"!
4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 lb. butter marshmallow whip (13 oz jar) ...use slightly less than whole jar 2 cups chopped macadamia nuts
Set aside. Boil the next 2 ingredients in a double boiler for 12 minutes, stirring constantly.
4 1/2 cups sugar 1 lg can evaporated milk
Pour hot mixture over ingredients in mixing bowl and stir well with heavy spoon until everything melted and smooth. Pour into well buttered cake pan or several small containers if you want to share! Keep tightly covered in frig and cut a piece for breakfast every morning!
